Fauna Hotel - Valparaiso

the units are stylish, extraordinary with an extremely comfortable bed, balcony, a great view. the location is excellent in a very nice area, close enough to the tourist area as well as excellent restaurant.

Good bed in king suite with central heating, an iron, and an electronic key card. Stunning and ideal location really close to an outstanding restaurant and the centre, could not be better...

Loved the decor... it is all made of refurbished or recycled materials. Had a really cool, old vibe to the place.

It is probably more for younger folks. Did feel a bit like a hostal.

Fantastic stay, as always. Fabulous hotel with exceptional personnel and gorgeous view of the harbor. Bright rooms, clean bathrooms, exceptionally comfortable beds. Good drinks at roof top bar, excellent service. Late check out.

Beautiful boutique hotel, very helpful and knowledgeable staff, great food, perfect service. Very convenient location on a quiet pedestrian street at the top of Ascensor Reina Victoria, easy to find and perfect location for exploring Cerro Alegre and Concepcion.

Top room (no 6) can be noisy due to kitchen, stairs and walkway.

The room was extremely comfortable, well sized and with a fantastic view over Valparaiso. The design with exposed adobe walls was also very stylish. The staff were very friendly and we also ate in their cafe restaurant on two occasions, lunch and dinner and both were very good. The quirky decor was fun and on the right side of line.

On our last night we were disturbed by a group of teenagers sitting outside the hotel at around 4am having loud conversations and drinking. This is not something the Fauna was responsible for but perhaps double glazing would have reduced the impact.

its location and very good restaurant and one very helpful member of staff in the whole building he is practical and helpful and even got an outside number so we could call a cab to get to hospital he deserves so praise

its generally miserable staff except one who was very helpful. my girlfriend became ill during our stay- the hotel lacked a working telephone and from that location mobile calls were impossible- we were in a emergency room for around 7 hrs because she had high blood pressure, the hotel lacked any empathy or helpfulness in this situation. they said they had made an error in payment on the day we asked to check and move to a hotel with a working telephone internet and air con- as my girlfriend had needed a cardiology specialist to asses her before we could leave the ER at hospital- the receptionist argued about cancellation for an hour before saying he would give it to us half price after discussing with his manager in the most patronizing of tones. Then called us up to say we had not cancelled the booking and even phoned us at are next hotel after are 12 hour ordeal with casualty. They sent threatening e mail and took a payment for the full amount after saying the would agree to half the price. They made a forced payment from my bank account without permission after getting a signature to the amount the promised avoid at all costs, they are liars and incompetent and less that helpful in difficult situations my girlfriend is seeing many specialist doctors and i am considering writing a letter on her behalf to shame them into taking some honest action. Unreliable untrustworthy and they sent threatening e mails before i could confirm what the amount was that they withdrew , they may have a swipe machine that shows you a number on the receipt and displays another. They lied and cant keep there word only stay for the minimum of time and go to there cafe and dont risk a night there, the food is excellent and cheap

Had an amazing stay where I enjoyed the beautiful view while sipping fruity water from the reception! The rooftop bar was a great spot to unwind and watch the sunset. I got a superb massage at the spa. Just a heads-up, sound from the hall was a bit noticeable but didn’t ruin my awesome experience! 🌅

The location is stunning, with beautiful views of Valparaíso. Breakfast was enjoyable and the terrace lovely, but the noise from the city was quite bothersome, and the Wi-Fi wasn't very strong. Be prepared for lots of stairs and a unique experience overall.

There is a free and outstanding breakfast for a start. The staff is very helpful and active and the atmosphere is quiet.

Fauna hotel is a really unique hotel in a great location in Chile. Plenty of great restaurants and Cafe's nearby. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.

Amazing View and Friendly Staff!

Staff was super chill and really helpful, going out of their way for us. Rooms are clean and comfy too. Just a heads up, no TV, so if that's a deal breaker, keep that in mind.

This was a beautiful hotel with a great location. There is a hip vibe, but I brought my parents and they were fine with it too. There is a terrace on the restaurant with great views of the ocean and the city, the rooms were clean and creative, with big comfy beds. The breakfast was included, had great coffee and was a great spread. The owners were around a lot and showed us pictures of how much work they had put into renovating the building. I would definitely stay here again.

If you are a light sleeper, request a room that does not face the street.

Great place to stay, the staff are very welcoming and the hotel was comfortable and in a great location.

Dining with a fine view

Woke up to amazing views from the rooftop restaurant. The staff were friendly.

The noise from nearby bars kept us awake until early morning, interrupting our sleep more than once. The lack of air conditioning also made it uncomfortable at night.
